Today Katie Slaughter joined our family of athletes pursuing a dream of playing college athletics. Katie plays softball for Coach Tracey Smith at Anderson High School in Austin, TX. She plays travel ball with the Texas Stix 18U Gold.
Katie pitches (P) and plays first base (1B) and outfield (OF). She has been named first team all-district 25-5A pitcher for two years in a row. She was also a second team selection her freshman year. Katie has also received both the Trojan Heart Award and Team MVP at Anderson High School. In addition, Katie has made the academic all-district team more than once, which underscores her commitment to her studies.
Katie is an accomplished pitcher who works regularly with Ron Holt at Windpitch. She is looking for the perfect college program at which to continue her softball career while working on a degree in speech pathology.
